One major component of the Alaska Education Plan is to ensure that all high school students are career- and college-ready. Alaska is basing its plan for career and college readiness on “Making Alaska More Competitive by Preparing Citizens for College and Career,” a report from the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education.
Alaska Learning Labs (AKLabs) - an SES provider for Schools in Level II Status or Higher
Alaska Learning Labs (AKLabs), a program of SERRC - Alaska's Educational Resource Center, is a FREE after-school tutoring program that offers 80 one and a half hour sessions and is flexible to meet each site's schedule. For an enhanced learning experience, students earn incentive points for participating in research-based online programs and hands-on activities in reading, writing, and math.
AKLabs is an approved SES provider whose services are free to all schools in Level II status or higher.
