Proposed New Alaska Standards
The State Board of Education & Early Development welcomes your comments on proposed new standards in English language arts and mathematics for public school students. All public comments will go to the State Board for their consideration. The State Board, which has the authority to adopt state standards, is scheduled to decide the issue in June 2012. The State Board could choose to adopt the standards as proposed, adopt them with changes, or not adopt them. If the new standards are adopted in June 2012, the state will work with school.....

Alaska District Curriculum Survey
The Department of Education & Early Development asked the Alaska Comprehensive Center and Education Northwest to collect up-to-date information on reading and mathematics curricula, including texts and other published materials, that each district has adopted/purchased. It was EED’s intention by means of this survey to provide information to districts regarding curricula in use in the state and the ways districts are aligning the curricula to the standards.
