Alaska District Curriculum Survey
The Department of Education & Early Development asked the Alaska Comprehensive Center and Education Northwest to collect up-to-date information on reading and mathematics curricula, including texts and other published materials, that each district has adopted/purchased. It was EED’s intention by means of this survey to provide information to districts regarding curricula in use in the state and the ways districts are aligning the curricula to the standards.
Alaska Self-Study Tool
The Self-Study Tool (SST) was developed to help schools conduct an internal review as part of their school improvement effort. The SST materials are based on the Instructional Audit Tool that has been used throughout Alaska to conduct on-site school audits by external teams of educators. The SST process provides teams from a school community an opportunity to engage in discussion and evidence-based inquiry. 16 Career Clusters - Organizational Tool for Use in Searching for Career Information (Developed by USDOE)

Educators' Resource Guide to Alaska Standards - from the Curriculum Frameworks Project
The Educators' Resource Guide to the Alaska Standards is an online resource that will help districts and teachers develop, teach and assess a standards-based curriculum. The Guide is divided into two sections:

"FIreweed Magazine" from Port Graham Students: Reading in a Cultural Context and Place-based Science Activities
"Fireweed" Magazine was developed in the early 80's at Port Graham and offers online offers examples of reading in a cultural context. The work of transcribing from the magazines was completed in 2001-2002 by students at Port Graham.
Alaska Computerized Formative Assessments (Online)
Using CAL's online computer test delivery and reporting system, CAL TestBuilder is the online tool that brings the Alaska Computerized Formative Assessment (ACFA) program to all Alaskan schools. ACFA items are linked to specific Alaska content standards and grade level expectations (GLEs). The system is intended to provide feedback that can be used to adapt teaching and learning to meet student needs. ACFA tests in reading and mathematics are already assembled and available for immediate use.
Native Language Curriculums Developed by Sealaska
Sealaska Heritage Institute produces Native language curriculum and other education tools through its Language and Education Programs. The institute encourages students and teachers to use its online resources to perpetuate and revitalize Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian languages.

Publications for Alaska Standards for Culturally Responsive Schools
The following standards have been developed by Alaska Native educators to provide a way for schools and communities to examine the extent to which they are attending to the educational and cultural well being of the students in their care. These "cultural standards" are predicated on the belief that a firm grounding in the heritage language and culture indigenous to a particular place is a fundamental prerequisite for the development of culturally-healthy students and communities associated with that place, and thus is an essential ingredient.....
EED Curriculum Framework
The Curriculum Framework created by stakeholders in Alaska, provides the ground work for districts to align their materials and resources to the Alaska Grade Level Expectations (GLE). The Framework is downloadable in a Word format. A district should review the skills and content columns with district educators as a staff development process. Once the district educators have reviewed the content and skills sections, the materials and resources within the district can be identified and listed.
