Reading
Reading instruction covers two broad areas: Early Reading, for grades K-4, and Adolescent Reading, for grades 5-12.
Resources for Elementary Reading are organized according to these five instructional components:

- Vocabulary
- Comprehension
- Fluency
Resources for Secondary Reading are organized into seven types of strategies:
- Teaching content area comprehension
- Integrating reading and writing instruction
- Motivating and engaging students
- Reinforcing reading with discussion
- Teaching vocabulary
- Strategies to support special education students
- Strategies to support ELL students
Within these seven types, we provide background information describing specific individual strategies and suggesting ways to use each strategy in the classroom.
