AKSCI Science Curriculum
After a monumental effort by the team at the Geophysical Institute at UAF, the new AKSCI science curriculum is now ready and available for use by district throughout the state. While this curriculum was created with the Yukon Flats School District in mind, it is available to, and should be applicable to, all 54 of our districts in the state.
Briefly, it is a spiraling, integrated curriculum that teaches concepts in earth, physical, and life sciences in each year. It is a complete K-12 curriculum; however, districts, sites, or teachers are more than welcome to utilize individual lessons. Every lesson is searchable by GLE, keyword, and grade level via the database on the website at www.aksci.org
