The Department of Education & Early Development has created a comparison tool for to support the transition to the new standards. This tool can be used to assist educators in analyzing the commonalities and differences between the new standards and the Fourth Edition reading, writing, and mathematics standards (Grade Level Expectations).. AKSCI Science Curriculum
After a monumental effort by the team at the Geophysical Institute at UAF, the new AKSCI science curriculum is now ready and available for use by district throughout the state. While this curriculum was created with the Yukon Flats School District in mind, it is available to, and should be applicable to, all 54 of our districts in the state.
