Self-Evaluation Tool: Providing Individualized and Engaging Instruction in Expanded Learning Time in Schools
District and school staff are encouraged to use this tool to self-reflect on how each of the specified strategies is used as part of planning a longer school day or a longer school year. This self-reflection tool lists six categories of indicators: (a) use of data to inform instruction; (b) professional development; (c) teacher inquiry and collaboration; (d) engaging instruction and enrichment; (e) individualized Instruction; and (f) community partnerships. For each indicator, the user can provide a rating, add a rationale for the rating, and draft proposed next steps or opportunities for further action.
